Achievement runs in the family for Kaitlyn Petersen.

As a 2007 graduate of Buckeye High School, Petersen received the Estrella Rotary Foundation Scholarship which enabled her to enroll at Estrella Mountain Community College last fall. Since that time, she has maintained a 3.8 GPA while working two part-time jobs.

Petersen is looking forward to earning an Associate of Arts degree in Business, which will then lead her to a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She hopes to open her own business one day.

She strives to live up to her family’s long line of achievement. Petersen has two brothers who are working towards degrees as a doctor of medicine and an architect.

Petersen would like to thank the West Valley Auto Alliance for their generosity. “The scholarship I received was extremely helpful and generous. I am relieved that I was honored with the Estrella Rotary scholarship, it took a lot of stress and worry off of me. I am able to balance work, home and school much more easily. I am one step closer to achieving my goals. Thank you West Valley Auto Alliance.”
